The NSW Government established the Office of Western Sydney in January 1998.
The Office reports to the Hon. David Borger MP, Minister for Western Sydney. The Minister for Western Sydney is the advocate for Australia's fastest growing region.
The Office of Western Sydney is part of Communities NSW. It provides advice to the Minister on regional issues and works to deliver opportunities that benefit the Greater Western Sydney community.
